Full Job Description

GovCIO is currently hiring for an IT Policy & Governance Analyst to support enterprise cybersecurity governance, logging, and compliance initiatives. This position develops policies, procedures, and process documentation supporting enterprise logging and monitoring capabilities. The IT Policy & Governance Analyst will support the VA’s implementation of emerging cybersecurity requirements, including OMB M-26-14 logging guidance, by working with stakeholders and technical teams to develop enterprise logging plans and governance processes. This position will be fully remote within the United States. Responsibilities The IT Policy & Governance Analyst supports the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and governance documentation for enterprise logging and cybersecurity initiatives. This role works with technical teams and government stakeholders to translate cybersecurity requirements into actionable processes and documentation. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, SOPs, and process documentation supporting enterprise logging initiatives. Support implementation of OMB M-26-14 logging requirements and related CISA guidance. Collaborate with technical teams and VA stakeholders to develop enterprise logging plans. Identify process improvements and recommend operational enhancements. Develop workflows, governance documentation, and implementation guidance. Ensure documentation aligns with federal cybersecurity requirements, including OMB, CISA, NIST, and VA standards. Support stakeholder coordination, policy reviews, and knowledge management activities. Qualifications Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience) Clearance Required: Public Trust Required Skills and Experience Experience developing policies, procedures, standards, and operational documentation. Experience supporting process improvement and governance activities. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Experience working with technical and business stakeholders. Knowledge of cybersecurity, enterprise IT operations, or information security principles. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience supporting federal government cybersecurity or IT programs. Familiarity with OMB M-26-14, CISA logging guidance, and NIST cybersecurity frameworks. Experience developing cybersecurity policies, logging plans, or governance documentation. Experience supporting compliance or authorization activities. Experience with SharePoint, Visio, Microsoft Office, or similar collaboration tools. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field. Posted Salary Range USD $90,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
